The Rigging Loft Inc’s core mission is to be a world class rigging facility providing a wide range of rigging and industry related hardware, equipment and services in accordance with globally recognized manufacturing and testing standards. It seeks to mitigate the current limited availability of lifting gear and equipment in a burgeoning market driven by offshore oil and gas exploration and production. The Rigging Loft is the brainchild of the management team of the John Fernandes Group of Companies which owns the company and provides administrative, logistical and commercial support to the venture. In mid-2022 the management team recognized the increasing demand for certified lifting gear and equipment as well as the limited availability of such products and services in the country. Research showed that the vast majority of rigging resourced were being outsourced from Trinidad, North America, Europe and China. After significant market research and the requisite due diligence exercises, the decision was made to enter a venture to bridge the supply gap in support of the Oil and Gas sector and its numerous downstream spinoff industries and sectors.
